Color Throwdown #270

Hello everyone!! It's Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge.  Wanda is our hostess this week and she has picked such pretty non- traditional Christmas colors for us to play with!!!

I used the sweet little gingerbread couple from Paper Smooches Giddy Gumdrops set....they were embossed with white ep on kraft card stock and the bows were stamped with gumball green. The snowflakes from Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set  were embossed with silver ep and the Christmas washi tape and silver cording finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD270 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

You can find out all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog

Once Cole and Autumn get up old grandma goes to the back of the line...LOL!!!! We don't have to pick mom up for church until 10:45 so we have time for a good breakfast....they ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs for Sunday breakfast!! I decided not to count carbs while they are here!!!   Anyway....

I wanted to share a card set with you that I made for the church craft sale....I used a new stamp set that I bought from the Uniko Studio. You really need to check out their store..I just love all their stamps!!!

The doves, sentiment, and the leaf stamps are from the Peace on Earth set...the doves were stamped with Memento London Fog onto white card stock, cutout, dusted with glitter, and popped up with foam tape. The leaves were stamped with Fresh Snow ink (PTI), and the pearls and ribbon finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by on the cold sunday morning...I hope you have a wonderful and warm day!!

Hanging With You

Hello everyone!!  It sure feels like winter around here...it got down close to  freezing last night with lots of rain. I guess the only thing for me to do is stay warm and stamp...or I could stamp to stay warm....teehee!!!!! I did a little stamping the other day with the adorable Taylored Expressions November Stamp of the Month set called In the Garden. I just love the little jars, especially the hanging one and the sentiment is so fun!!  You can check out the November SOTM kit and all the details here!!!

The jars were all paper pieced with papers from Echo Park's All about a Boy 6x6 paper pad and the tops of the jars were colored with Copics.  The single flower on the sentiment banner and the leaf were stamped with daffodil delight and pistachio pudding, cut out with the coordinating dies called Patio Party, and popped up with foam tape. The flower bouquet was also colored with Copics, fussy cut, and adhered over the trio of jars. The Taylored Expressions Lace Chain border diecut, Baker's Twine,  Doodlebug Sprinkles, sewing, and distressing finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day and stay warm!!!

Hello everyone....hope you are having a great day!!! I did my Thanksgiving grocery shopping yesterday....next week will be too crazy since I will have two of my Grands visiting. I also bought lots of their favorite things to eat...the kitchen will be rockin from morning till night...LOL!!!!  Anyway...

I wanted to share a card I made for Monday's TLC challenge on Splitcoast. Dawn was the hostess and her challenge was to create a wreath with anything but a diecut.  I used a retired Stampin Up! flower punch to create my wreath...the red rhinestones were added and a sentiment from a Taylored Expressions stamp set called Big Bold Christmas was stamped in the center with not quite navy ink.

The background paper is from Bo Bunny's Snowfall collection....sewing and distressing was done around the edges and the felt bow was made with the Taylored Expressions Mix and Match Bow Dies.

Thanks for stopping by....have a great day!!!!

My card features a Taylored Expressions stamp set called Falling for You....the leaf was stamped onto the pear pizzazz card stock with soft suede ink and cutout with the coordinating dies called Falling for You dies. The acorn was stamped on dusty durango and soft suede card stock and cutout with dies from the same set. The sentiment was also stamped with soft suede.

I used the Retro Sketches #90 sketch, Doodlebugs Happy Harvest 6x6 paper pad, and the twine finishes it off.

Merry Christmas!!

Hello everyone!! Now that the craft sale is over,  I can get a few Christmas cards finished.  Do you know that we only have 5 1/2 weeks till Christmas...yikes!!! I'm just not going to think about it cause it makes me nervous...LOL!!!! Anyway....

I pulled out one of my favorite Taylored Expressions die sets called Curly Swirlies....they add a lot of pizzazz without the bulk which is great for mailing!!

The sentiment from Taylored Expressions Big Bold Christmas set was stamped on the Choice Snow White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the Label Stacklets 4 die as was the red card stock mat. The background papers and card stock are from the Taylored Expressions Tis The season Project Pantry kit and the Curly Swirlies were cut from Choice Black card stock.

The ribbon, sewing, and the black pearls finish it off.

I used the Curly Swirlies again on this Christmas card set....the stamps are from the Taylored Expressions Sparkle and Cheer set. The sleigh was stamped on the Choice Buttercream card stock with baja breeze and dusted with glitter.

The background paper is Basic Grey's Jovial and the seam binding is the finishing detail...... I left them pretty flat for easy mailing.
