Use Up Those Scraps!!

Hello everyone!!! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready to do a little stamping!!! Are you up for a challenge??? I'm the hostess for Splitcoast's Technique Lover's Challenge and this week we are going to use up some of those patterned paper scraps that you just can't throw away.  My challenge to you is to create a background with scraps of paper....card stock or patterned paper.

You can:
1. Use stripes horizontal, vertical, or diagonal
2. Use a patchwork or quilt pattern
3. Use random shapes for an artsy look or a crazy quilt look
4. Use only patterned paper, only cardstock, or mix them up!!
5. Sew the pieces on or glue them...what ever works for you!!
6. Make sure at least half of the background is covered with at least 3 or more different colored or designer papers.
7. Have Fun!!!

My card features left over pieces for Doodlebugs Frosty Friends papers....they were cut in wide and skinny stripes and glued on the white card base. The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Sparkle and Cheer set and the TE Poinsettia die set was used to cut the poinsettia out of white and silver card stock. The silver pearls and cording finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to join the TLC Challenge on Splitcoast!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #320

Hello everyone!! Are you ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow?? We went to the grocery store last night at midnight to escape the crouds and I think everyone else had the same idea.....on top of all the people, they were stocking the shelves!!!  I should have stayed home...LOL!!! Anyway....

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge.  Barbara is our hostess this week and she has picked some pretty holiday colors for you to create with.

My card features dies from Impression Obsession....the doves were cut out of white card stock and the sentiment was cut from both kraft and pool party. The dp is from the Echo Park Dots 6x6 paper pad and the silver pearls for the eyes and the silver cording finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD320 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

You will find all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

Pinterest Inspired Tags

Hello everyone!! I have been busy this week making Christmas tags....my inspiration came from Sankari's fabulous tag set I found on the Taylored Expressions Pinterest Christmas Board.

Every one of Sankari's tags are absolutely adorable!!!!!

My box is actually a little suitcase tin....the top was covered with patterned paper from the TE Gingerbreat Lane 6x6 paper pack. The Poinsettias dies from Taylored Expressions  along with papers from the Gingerbread Lane 6x6 paper pack were used to create the poinsettias.

Lots of Taylored Expressions dies and stamps were used to create my set along with several colors of Taylored Expressions Matched card stock. This project was a great way to use up all those little pieces of paper scraps and diecuts left over from other projects!!!

The card stock colors include: Sugar Cube, Granny Smith, Peapod, Salt Water Taffy, Oreo, Cherry Pop, Buttercream Frosting, Toffee, Chocolate Truffle, Cookie Monster, Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Sweet Basil and....
